Munching on cheese and crackers, I moseyed my way through a crowd of several hundred developers, designers, and marketers on a bitter Friday night back in February. We were up on the fourteenth floor of a high-rise next to Boston Harbor - think concrete floors, glass walls, and the endless cubicles of a startup incubator space. This was the first annual Boston Hack Day Challenge, a programming competition sponsored by the Boston Globe where the aim was to produce an application that makes Boston residents’ lives better.
